das-originalQuota Points Rule

Quota Points Rule
Minimum number of points2
Maximum number of points6

With the quota rule, the distribution of points depends on the prediction behaviour within the prediction community. Predictions on outsiders receive more points than predictions on favourites.

The quota rule is displayed in the form: "Home-Draw-Guest". The values show how many points you get for a prediction that tends to be correct. With a quota of "2-4-6", you would receive 2 points if you correctly predicted a home win, 4 points for a draw and 6 points for an away win.

Calculation

The actual points for a particular tendency is calculated as follows:

MIN Minimum score
MAX Maximum score
N Number of predictions
T Number of predictions with tendency
Points MAX / (10 × T/N) - MAX/10 + MIN

The value is rounded and limited to the specified interval.

Hints

  1. The point value is rounded and limited to the specified interval (MIN/MAX).
  2. The quota is recalculated after each prediction.
  3. Additional points can be awarded for goal difference and result.
  4. The calculation is based only on the predictions submitted. If a member has not made a prediction, this has no effect on the calculation.

Example

25 players have submitted a prediction (N), of which only 5 predicted a home win (T). The points for a home win are calculated as follows

Points = 6 / (10 × 5/25) - 6/10 + 2
= 6/2 - 6/10 + 2
= 4

The result has been rounded and capped, see note no. 1
